New York Noir

Solitary, nocturnal expeditions through New York City’s historic streets inspire much of my NY Noir work. Building on my experience as a portraitist, muralist, and illustrator, I create fog-shrouded, delicately lit dream worlds from the city’s iconic structures, facades, scenes, and architecture. Through a technique combining digital painting with photography, I use images rooted in the real (the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, yellow cabs, the Brooklyn Bridge) as well as fantasy (Egyptian pharaohs riding the subway by night) to tell wordless stories about the theater of endless possibility which is New York.
